So life in wizardland has been a mixed bag of wonderful and not quite perfect.
I have been once again battling the "mystery illness" that has haunted me since last July. Am trying a new round of medicine (which has not 'kicked in ' yet) and have appointments set up with new MD's in June... no doubt there will be numerous new tests and poking and prodding..
meanwhile, the judges are stumped by this one - and the jury is out as to exactly when the clues will give forth a solution! I feel pretty crumby, but have decided to fortify my reserves, and call in the troops of energy, and apply vast amounts of laughter and silliness to said crappy feelings, in order to turn it around.so far, it has helped. but I admit there are days when I shiver and sleep more than accomplish anything.. grrr... energizer bunny is a bit drained... might need new rechargable batteries.. :-S
In the meantime.. I took a CEU class last friday on the brain - and it was fascinating. One of the things it refreshed in my mind was the fact that cortisol (the stress hormone) damages the hippocampus (the seat of logic in the brain)..
and so, a dear friend and I joked unmercifully over the weekend, that indeed "there will be no more 'hippos' sacrificed in our worlds.... " We resolved to live "worry-free" and "save our hippos" :-)
And I would encourage you to join this quest!
Worry less, save a hippo! a good motto, eh? (:-)
And so what does a hippo saving fiberwizard do when her world is less than perfect physically?? why, go get her tattoo worked on, of course. (made perfect sense to me at the time!) Here is session two, the tree is half finished. (and it will fade to a gray scale color when done)
