I have at least 5 single socks or parts of them. Time to get cracking and finish them up! One of my favorite pairs is from that handspun sock yarn I bought from you way back when.

Carole

That's a great idea! I don't actually have any single socks, though. Really!

Deirdre

I actually don't have singles, either - it would make me nuts not to finish a pair - I have knit samples for other people, and they have the singles, but not me...

but I'm wondering - have you been wearing mismatched pairs, or have these been kept aside all this time waiting hopefully for mates???

Chris

D'oh - forgot to say it in my comment on the previous post, but I hope you and Erin are feeling lots better!

Look at all of those half-knit pairs of socks - you're going to have LOTS of socks soon...

margene

I've never knit a sock without a mate. You can't wear them without mates! Well, I guess you could...

Chery

Sorry, I knit my socks two-at-a-time on 2 circs, toe-up. No single socks for me!

Rho

Personally I feel that there are no single socks - as long as there is another sock in a similar or complimentary color there is a pair - but I am not adverse to wearing matching socks either - it just gives you more options ;)

Lorette

I just have to laugh that you have so many unpaired hand knit socks! For some reason, that just cracks me up. I have no half finished sock pairs, except for the one pair I'm currently knitting. I have one rule: as SOON as I finish grafting the toe of the first sock, I immediately cast on for the mate. If I didn't do that, I'd never finish a pair.

Laurie

Yep, I've got 'em. Not too many though.
