I may not be the speediest knitter, yet I do eventually finish.
My Braid and Cable Pullover is blocking (yippee). All that is left to do is to sew the seams, and knit about 10 rows for the collar. The edging in the pattern (along the bottom and the cuffs) called for a picot trim, yet that somehow clashes with my sensibilities for a heavy cabled sweater. I suspect that I will add a small i-cord bind off just to stabilize the bottom edge. Any thoughts?
While that beauty dries, I have begun another small project for my friend Lisa (Dicentra Designs). It is Gust (from Anne over at Knitspot). I am working with a gorgeous Alpaca Lace weight yarn that Lisa sent me in the color "Denim".
It is a delightful pattern, and as long as I pay attention to whether my YO's are preceding a knit or a purl stitch, I do fine (grin).
It's been a long time since I knit any lace, and this one is a bit slow going given issues with my hand still being a pest now and then - but overall I am very pleased!
The rain has begun once again here.... so no lawn mowing..... Geeee whiz, I guess I'll just have to KNIT ! (giggle)
