Olympia is clearly a city of many artists. The downtown is as diverse a place as I have ever seen.
It goes from ancient old buildings like the one my office is in, to tree lined streets within a block or two.
And then there is the graffiti. The quality of the art covers the gamut, from what I would consider spectacular art to just down right boring doodles. I snapped these photos in my journeys around town. All of this is within 3 city blocks of where I work.
It appears that if there is a flat surface on a non-historic building, then it is fair game for art (grin) Is this a familiar sight in your town as well?
Next friday is the fall Art Walk in downtown Olympia, as well as a beer tasting from the Red Hook Brewery. I can't wait to see what the artists will present.
